To the Citizens of the City of Adel

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Adel City Council on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 5:30 p.m., at the Adel City Hall in the city Council Chambers, 112 North Parrish Ave., Adel, GA, for the purpose of hearing an application to amend the Zoning Ordinance dated September 5, 1989.

Application will be considered by the Greater Cook Planning Advisory Commission on Thursday, May 28, 2015, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cook County Commissioners Office, 209 N. Parrish Ave., Adel, GA. Application to be considered is as follows:

1. Application #A2015-02: Cook County. The amendment to be considered is the rezoning from the AU Agricultural to the R-8 Residential zoning classification and annexation into the City Limits of the City of Adel.

Subject property is bounded on the south by 16th Street, on the north and west by Gordon Avenue. Property is currently identified as Map and Parcel #s 0040H 029 and 0040H 029B according to the current tax mapping system of Cook County.

Any applicant of this proposed rezoning who has made campaign contributions aggregating $250.00 or more to a local government official of the City of Adel, Georgia within two years immediately preceding the filing of the application, is required to file a disclosure statement, at least five days prior to the hearing, with the Adel/Cook County Zoning Administrator, stating the name and position of the local official to whom contributions were made, the amount, description and date of each campaign contribution.

In accordance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, any disabled person planning to attend the Public Hearing may contact the Zoning Administrator 24 hours in advance of the meeting at 229-896-2266 and indicate their time of arrival in order to have Staff Member to assist the person to the meeting room.

Case File for this application is No. A2015-02respectively and the public records concerning the requests are available for public review and inspection during regular business hours at the office of the Adel/Cook County Zoning Administrator at the Cook County Commissioners Building, 1200 S. Hutchinson Ave., Adel, GA. Staff reports will be available five days prior to the Planning Advisory Commission meeting.
