The Cook County Sheriff’s Office seeks career oriented, motivated men and women with high moral and ethical standards to provide an entire range of law enforcement services to our community.
In order to join our ranks you must be at least 21 years of age for Deputy Sheriff positions, 18 years of age for Detention Officer positions, accredited high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, honorable discharge (if prior military), clean POST record if prior law enforcement, no adverse driving record, and no felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude.
